Apparently you weren’t allowed to smile until the 1940s….
    Well done.

    Art,

Congratulations on the launch of your family website. It really looks great. What a great legacy for the previous generations and what a great way for the younger generations to learn what a great family that they are a part of.

    Art,

This is wonderful and I hope some day I have the where with all to follow in your footsteps. I was particulary tickled by the appreciation page and how the idea came to fruition. I have been privy to a few brainstorms at similar establishments with the aforementioned company and we turned out quite a few good ideas, none as special as this. I look forward to you future postings.

This is a great site. I found it because I am seeking more information about Abe Lincoln Mahony a lobbiest who did a lot for my Uncle Corporal Joseph J Silver who was a paraplegic from WW II wounds. Any chance he is the one shown in the family picture of 1900? If so do you have any later ones of him as an adult?

Bob-very sorry but I just picked up your note this morning. I’ve been a little lax on updating the site over the last year or two. My great Uncle Lincoln is probably the man who helped you uncle. He was a newspaper reporter in Chicago (family lore has it that he was one of the first reporters on the scene after the St Valentine’s Day massacre). He ended up in the DC area and passed away while living in an assisted living home in the area. He was married but no children. I have the least amount of info on him as he was apparently very accomplished but a little difficult to be around according to the older family members. He was the youngest boy of the five children of Lititia Finn and Dennis Mahony. Raised in Passaic NJ. I have a pic of him at about 8 years old (go to the history page on the website and scroll down to see that pic) and another when he was in his 50s. Don’t know how to attach the photos to this format. If you’d like those pics send me a note at artmahony@gmail.com Also, any info you may have on Lincoln would very much appreciated. BTW, I’m named for him and his brother Art. Thanks, and again sorry I didn’t catch this earlier.

Hope I’m not intruding, Martin Coffey from Dublin, Ireland. My great grandmother, Margaret Finn is a sister to Letitia Finn. Last year (2017) I had a book published about a murder involving Margaret and another sister, Annie Finn. Appreciate your site and all that you have achieved with it…Martin
